Dear Dr. Vorotyntsev, I’m writing to you to inform you that the ISE Office started to accept the applications for Electrochimica Acta and ISE Travel Awards for Young Electrochemists for the year 2020. The deadline for application is January 31st 2020.
The Electrochimica Acta and ISE Travel Awards for Young Electrochemists intend to encourage the participation of young electrochemists in the ISE Annual Meetings. The eligibility rules restrict these awards to ISE Members who have obtained their Ph.D. not earlier than six (6) years before the deadline for applications. PhD students are not eligible for the Awards.
Candidates should apply on their own behalf; their applications will be considered for both Electrochimica Acta and ISE Travel Awards. The application should be uploaded via the Submission Site (http://iseawards.ise-online.org/tra/) and consist of the following items: a curriculum vitae (maximum 5 pages), list of publications, title and abstract of the research paper the applicant will submit for an oral presentation at the 71st ISE Annual Meeting in Belgrade (maximum 1 page), a maximum of 3 copies of recent research papers, a copy of the Ph.D. diploma (or equivalent) and a maximum of 3 supporting letters. All documents must be uploaded in PDF format.
Evaluation of the applicants will be made by the Vice-presidents of ISE. The winners will give oral presentations at the 71st ISE Annual Meeting in Belgrade.
I do hope you will be able to take the opportunity the Electrochimica Acta and ISE Travel Awards offer to facilitate the participation at the 71st ISE Annual Meeting which will be highlighted by the Plenary lecture by the 2019 Nobel Prize Laureate M. Stanley Whittingham of the State University of New York at Binghamton.
Sincerely yours
Petr Krtil
