*****************************

Dear friends and colleagues,

We cordially invite you to the 2nd edition of our workshop about «Redox Films for Energy Conversion – Bioelectrochemical and Molecular Systems» from September 28th to September 29th 2017 in Marseille (France).

https://redox-shields.org/2017-workshop

The catalytic conversion of small molecules like H2 and CO2 is central for sustainable energy schemes to face climate change and fossil fuel depletion. The workshop will focus on highly active but highly fragile catalysts such as bioelectrochemical systems and molecular catalysts, and their incorporation into protective matrices to open up their applications in devices for energy conversion.

The following internationally recognized speakers will provide a comprehensive overview about these topics:

(Several talks that fit the topic of the conference will be selected from abstracts.)

— Prof Shelley Minteer (Univ of UTAH, USA)
— Dr Jean Michel Savéant (Laboratoire d’Electrochimie Moléculaire, Paris)
— Prof Marc Koper (Leiden Institute of Chemistry, NL)
— Prof Wolfgang Lubitz, (Max Planck Institute, Mulheim, Germany)
— Prof Holger Dau (Free University of Berlin, Germany).
— Dr Vincent Fourmond (Laboratoire de Bioénergétique et Ingénierie des Protéines, Marseille, France)
— Dr. Ulf-Peter Apfel (Ruhr-University Bochum, Germany)
— Dr Alan Le Goff (Dpt de chimie moléculaire, Grenoble, France)
— Dr Lars Jeuken (Leeds University, UK).
— Prof Fred Lisdat (Technical University of Applied Sciences, Wildau, Germany)
— Dr Bertrand Reuillard (Cambridge University, UK)
— Dr Adrian Ruff (Ruhr-Universität-Bochum, Germany)
— Dr Thierry Tron (ISM2, Marseille, France).
— Dr Jan Vaes (HYDROGENICS, Belgium)

Registration is free but the number of participants is strictly limited to 50.

Funds from the International Society of Electrochemistry will be allocated to support the attendance of young scientists (Master and PhD students). Apply if you are a member of ISE.
Deadline for registration: August 1st 2017

We are looking forward to welcome you in Marseille,

Dr. Christophe Léger, Dr. Nicolas Plumeré, Dr. Vincent Fourmond
