The basic strategies and recent trends in design of functional surfaces via application of \u201csmart\u201d nanotechnologies will be addressed. Special focus will be also given to localized electrochemical techniques for understanding processes in confined defects as well as to analytical methods for analysis of interfaces.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, Geneva, Swiss, SunSans-Regular; font-size: small;\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Lectures presented by recognised specialists in the targeted topics will be accompanied by practical lab-sessions where showcases of development and characterization of active functional coatings will be addressed.
